Born in the city of Aleppo in Syria, Ballorieh is delicious pistachio filling topped with tasty dough crust from top and bottom. It is the piece that is the most lightly baked, and its dough is much more raw than other forms of Baklava. The powdered sugar syrup gives it its shiny look. It is the only Baklava among several varieties that is kept in the majority of its original form. Quickly baked, Ballorieh with its thick and rich pistachio filling makes it the preferred item for pistachio lovers.
